PETA honors Amitabh Bachchan by naming a bullock after him

In honor of Amitabh Bachchan, who celebrated his 70th birthday this Thursday, PETA- People for Ethical Treatment for Animals has named a bullock they recently rescued after Amitabh Bachchan’s famous screen name Vijay.

Amitabh Bachchan went my screen name of Vijay in over 20 years including his most famous movies ‘Agneepath’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Roti Kapda Aur Makaan’ and ‘Don’.

In an official statement PETA said that the bullock was named after Bachchan’s famous screen name as the actor is a vegetarian and thus saves animals.

PETA has also named Amitabh Bachchan as ‘Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity’ for three years in a row.

The bullock was rescued from Sangli district of Maharashtra, where he was over worked and was suffering from tick infection and anemia. When voluntary organization Animal Rahat rescued the bullock he was very weak. The bullock is now being treated by doctors.
