Cop movies have become the current norm in Bollywood. The trend that became popular with Salman Khan wearing khakhi in ‘Dabangg’ has continued with Ajay Devgn playing a cop in ‘Shingham’. Aamir Khan too in his upcoming movie ‘Talaash’ plays role of a cop. Arjun Rampal plays cop in Prakash Jha’s upcoming movie ‘Chakravyuh’.

Now Shahid Kapoor is all set to jump on the bandwagon and play police officer in Neeraj Pandey's, famous for his movie ‘A Wednesday’ upcoming film. This will be the first time that Shahid Kapoor will essay role of a cop.

“Yes Shahid Kapoor would be seen in uniform for the first time," confirmed Shanti Sivaram of Bling Entertainment Solutions, an agency that represents the 31-year-old actor.

Along with this movie Shahid Kapoor is also busy working in Prabhu Deva’s ‘Namak’ and Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’.
