The performance of the three debutants Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s recent directorial venture ‘Student Of The Year’ has been appreciated by one and all. But many critics have agreed that out of the three its Varun Dhawan’s performance that has stood out.

Varun Dhawan, who is on cloud number nine after the appreciation he received for his performance, said that his dad David Dhawan was very proud of him.

“He is reacting not like a director but as a father. He is just very proud that I am doing something in life and my first film has released, people have liked my performance,” said Varun Dhawan to IANS.

Recently even Megastar Amitabh Bachchan praised the performances by the debutants.

“Amitji (Amitabh) has tweeted for me saying that he liked my work. So that is a really big thing for me that Amitji has said something for me,” said Varun Dhawan.

The movie that released on October 19 received mixed response from the critics but has been doing very well at the box-office and the audience has appreciated the movie.
