Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan showered high praises on legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar and said that Sunil Gavaskar is the great son of India.

“Just had the great honour of felicitating dear friend and sporting icon, Sunil Gavaskar... A great son of India... Privileged,” tweeted Amitabh Bachchan after the felicitation that was held on Saturday.

“Sunil Gavaskar as gracious and as entertaining as ever. He is a great mimic among many other special attributes he possesses, and had the entire audience in splits," he added.

The actor also revealed that Sunil Gavaskar never missed to wish him on his birthday and their relationship has been strong for past 30 years.

“The one matter that has remained constant with him is his phone call on my birthday each year. And this has gone on for more than almost 30 years. Irrespective of where he may be, in which part of the world, that phone call always comes,” wrote Amitabh Bachchan.

Sunil Gavaskar is not only considered as one of the greatest cricketers in India but is believed to be one of the best cricketers the world has ever produced.
