Sujoy Ghosh’s movie ‘Kahaani’ that released earlier this year and starred Vidya Balan is not one of the biggest hits of this year but is also the most critical acclaimed movie of the year.

After the immense success of the movie and mesmerizing the audience with a shocking ending, Sujoy Ghosh had announced that he would soon be working on script for the sequel.

The director recently revealed that the sequel will be a bit different from the original and have action sequences in it. This means that ‘Kahaani 2’ will be Vidya Balan’s first action flick.

“As per the demand of the role, there will be a lot of action in the sequel. So hopefully, audiences will get to see a new Vidya in ‘Kahaani 2’,” said Sujoy Ghosh.

“Not too much, but as per the script, Vidya will have few action scenes in the film. So as the script demands, I had asked her to be in shape. There will be some physical activities that Vidya will have to do in the film,” he added.

‘Kahaani’ was entirely shot in Kolkata and the city became the second heroine of the movie. Sujoy Ghosh revealed that few portions of ‘Kahaani 2’ will be shot in Kolkata.

“Few portions will be shot in Kolkata and many of the characters will be repeated,” he said.

The director though said that the script wasn’t complete yet and the movie will go on floors as soon as the script is completed.

“The script is not yet ready. We are in the process of developing the script. Once the script is ready, the film will go on the floors next year,” he concluded.
