Actress Sonakshi Sinha feels that Arbaaz Khan, who is making his debut as director with Dabangg 2’, said that Arbaaz Khan should have donned the director’s hat long ago as he was a brilliant director.
“I personally feel Arbaaz is so well versed with his work that he should have turned director a long time back. I didn't feel for a minute that he is directing for the first time. He is an all-rounder. He knows his work so well I am thankful to be working with him again,” said Sonakshi Sinha to a daily.
In 2010 Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut with a bang with the blockbuster hit ‘Dabangg’. The movie starred Salman Khan as dirty cop Chulbul Pandey and Sonu Sood as the antagonist. The movie was directed by Abhinav Kashyap and marked Arbaaz Khan’s debut as a producer. After Abhinav Kashyap decided to distance himself from the sequel, Arbaaz Khan stepped into the director’s shoes.
Sonakshi Sinha assured that the expectations from the sequel will be met under Arbaaz Khan’s direction.
“I would say it was great working with the ‘Dabangg’ team again. It's always fun to work with Salman Khan. I am very excited for ‘Dabangg 2’, which is scheduled for a Christmas release. I'm sure it will be much more entertaining than ‘Dabangg’,” she said.
Actress feels lucky to have worked with few of the biggest names in the industry like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn in her short career.
“I consider myself lucky and fortunate to work with such wonderful co-stars in all my films. For me, more than anything else, the content of the film matters and I have been lucky with that as well,” she concluded.
The movie is all set to release on December 21 this year.
