Akshay Kumar’s upcoming action comedy movie ‘Khiladi 786’ promos have been banned by Pakistan government.
The reason given by the board for this ban is that the number 786 which is revered by Muslims has a high probability of hurting the religious sentiments of followers within the country.
The Censor Board of Pakistan has also ordered the theaters not to showcase the trailer of the movie. They have also asked the distributors to take down the billboards of the film.
However, the board has said that the movie can be released if the number 786 is dropped from the title of the movie. But the board hasn’t guaranteed the release even then and said that the movie can still be banned if it has any objectionable scenes or dialogues.
'Khiladi 786' starring Akshay Kumar, Asin, Himesh Reshammiya, Mithun Chakraborty, Paresh Rawal and Raj Babbar, is all set to release on December 7, 2012.
Previously Pakistan Censor Board has banned Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Agent Vinod’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ for featuring RAW agents in the movies.
