Bollywood actress Vidya Balan and UTV CEO, Siddharth Roy Kapoor tied the knot earlier today.

The wedding took place at the Green Mile bungalow in Bandra, contrary to earlier reports of a temple wedding in Chembur.

The hush-hush ceremony was a mix of Tamil and Punjabi traditions.

Vidya Balan was dressed in traditional Tamilian bride style and wore a nine-yard Kanjeevaram sari that might have bee designed by the actress’s favorite designer Sabyasachi.

The actress also wore traditional South Indian gold jewellery along with some of her mother Saraswati’s ancestral baubles.

The wedding was attended by close family members. The bride and groom plan on sending out sweets later to their friends in the industry.

The wedding ceremonies kick started on December 11 with a private sangeet. It was followed by a private mehendi ceremony attended only by close family and friends. The only celebrity to get invited to the mehendi was Rekha.

It’s rumored that this wedding will be followed by a reception in Chennai.
