Actress Sonakshi Sinha confirmed that she will be starring opposite Akshay Kumar in the eagerly anticipated Hindi remake of Tamil hit movie ‘Thuppakki’.

In fact the actress revealed that she has started to work on the sequel already.

“Because I only talk about a film AFTER I've signed it, it's my pleasure to share with you all that we started shooting the ‘Thuppakki’ remake today. Looking forward to working with this team," Sonakshi tweeted on Thursday.

The Hindi remake of ‘Thuppakki’ will be directed by popular Southern and ‘Ghajini’ fame director AR Murugadoss, who directed the original Tamil movie. The movie is produced by Vipul Shah.

The Tamil version starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal went on to become a blockbuster hit.
