Arjun Rampal, who is gearing up for the release of his next movie ‘Inkaar’, directed by Sudhir Mishra, was apparently unhappy with the script when the director first approached him. Later he and Sudhir Mishra together reworked the script to suit their tastes.
“Arjun did not reject the script totally but he wasn't too happy when Sudhir brought the script to him for the first time. Even the director himself was not completely satisfied with it. Arjun wanted to work it around and since during the same time he was not involved in any other project, he took time out to sit and sort it out with Sudhir. Sexual harassment is a very dark subject to deal with and the script needed to be given a proper treatment,” said a source to a daily.
Arjun Rampal confirmed that at first he wasn’t satisfied with the script but said that even then he hadn’t turned the movie down.
“I did not reject the script but yes I was not happy with it at first. It took us three months but it worked out for the better,” said Arjun Rampal.
A source said that Arjun Rampal met Chitrangada Singh while travelling and both discussed the script and mutually decided to team up for the movie.
“It so happened that Arjun and Chitrangada were travelling together and in the flight they discussed the script and the various scenes in the film and then mutually agreed to pair up. It was then that the director finalized both the leads,” said a source.
“We were on the same flight to Delhi. Sudhir had Chitrangada on his mind and she liked the script too but she liked it more after we re-did it,” Arjun Rampal confirmed.
‘Inkaar’ starring Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh will release on January 18.
