Yash Raj Films production house have finally given director Shaad Ali’s movie ‘Kill Dil’ a green signal.

Shaad Ali, whose previous directorial venture ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ proved to a disaster at box-office, approached producer Aditya Chopra with the script for the movie. Aditya Chopra apparently loved the script and asked Shaad to come on board for his fourth outing with the production house.

Sources revealed that though Shaad Ali was keen on casting Deepika Padukone opposite Ranveer Singh in the movie to capitalize on their off-screen camaraderie, the production house have decided to go with their current favorite Parineeti Chopra.

So, the movie ‘Kill Dil’ is all set to go on floors this October with Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles. Pakistani singer turned actor Ali Zafar plays an important role in the movie.

“Yes, this is correct. The film, ‘Kill Dil’, is slated to go on floors this October and will release in 2014,” confirmed YRF spokesperson.
