Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’, starring Vidya Balan, was one of most acclaimed and popular movie of 2012. The movie with its brilliant story, acting and directing not only won praise from critics but was also a favorite among the audience.

Director Sujoy Ghosh, who was overwhelmed and overjoyed with the success his movie received, later revealed that he decided to go ahead and make a sequel to the movie. The director said that ‘Kahaani 2’ too will star Vidya Balan.

Actress Vidya Balan is very excited about the sequel and can’t wait to read the script that Sujoy Ghosh is currently working on.

“Ask Sujoy, I am very excited to know which 'Kahaani' he has written. So, let's see,” said the actress during the Filmfare Awards.

The movie and Vidya Balan bagged top honors at the Filmfare awards. Vidya Balan was awarded with Best Actress award for the brilliant performance in ‘Kahaani’. Sujoy Ghosh won the Best Director award.

“When we started 'Kahaani', only two people were associated with it, Sujoy and me. But later others joined in. We tried to make a good film, people liked it and we have grabbed a lot of other awards for the film till now,” she said.

At the 19th Annual Screen Awards, it won Best Actress award for Vidya Balan and best editing for Namrata Rao.

The 13th Zee Cine Awards saw Sujoy Ghosh lifting the best director (Jury) trophy, while Vidya won best actress (Jury) award.
