Kamal Haasan’s movie ‘Vishwaroopam’ has entered the 100 Crore Club just after 4 days from its release.

Rahul Bose, who plays an Afghani Al-Qaeda Jihadi in the movie, shared his joy over the stupendous success of his film through Twitter.

“Vishwaroopam's the first film I`ve been a part of that`s made over 100 crores. Congratulations to the team and Mr. Haasan especially!” tweeted Rahul Bose.

“Just received figures of the all India box office collections of Vishwaroopam. 120 crores and counting. Superb!” he added.

The spy thriller was embroiled in controversies and was banned for two weeks in Tamil Nadu after protests from Muslim groups claiming that the movie was offensive to the Muslims. This was followed by heated debates, an outcry by Kamal Haasan’s fans, bitter court battle and threat of self-exile by the actor.

Later Kamal Haasan met up with the Muslim groups and agreed to edit few scenes which they found offensive.

Four days ago the movie was released in Tamil Nadu to packed houses with Kamal Haasan’s fans celebrating the release by bursting crackers and pouring milk over his cut-outs.

The actor recently revealed that ‘Vishwaroopam’ will have a sequel and he was currently busy working on ‘Vishwaroopam 2’.
