‘Murder 2’ was the first biggest hit in actress Jacqueline Fernandez’s career.

The actress said that ‘Murder’ franchise was a very important brand to her and wished the third movie ‘Murder 3’ does a great business at the box-office.

“I really hope it does well. 'Murder 2' actually started my career in many ways. For me, it's a very important brand, a very important franchise,” said Jacqueline Fernandez to IANS at the Hello Classic Derby Race.

‘Murder 3’ is directed by debutant Vishesh Bhatt, son of Mukesh Bhatt and nephew of Mahesh Bhatt. The movie is being produced by the banner of Vishesh Films.

“I really hope for everyone, for Vishesh Films, for Bhatts. They were such amazing people to work with and I really hope that Murder 3 does well," she added.

‘Murder 2’ released in 2011 kick started Jacqueline Fernandez’s career. The movie was directed by Mohit Suri and starred Emraan Hashmi.

‘Murder 2’ was a sequel to 2004 hit movie ‘Murder’, directed by Anurag Basu. ‘Murder’ also starred Emraan Hashmi along with Mallika Sherawat and Ashmit Patel in lead roles.

Emraan Hashmi has been replaced by Randeep Hooda in ‘Murder 3’. Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Pakistani actress Sara Loren play lead roles in the movie.

Recently the movie was awarded a ‘U/A’ certificate by Censor Board as the third installment in the franchise concentrates more on the love story between the three characters than erotica.
