Actor Sanjay Dutt will make a special appearance in Rajkumar Gupta’s upcoming movie ‘Ghanchakkar’.
It is said that the actor agreed to do a cameo in the movie despite his hectic schedule as he couldn’t say no to Vidya Balan, who is the female lead of the movie.
Vidya Balan, who acted with Sanjay Dutt in ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, said that for her Sanjay Dutt will always be her first superstar.
“I am extremely excited and grateful to Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) because we wanted him for a little cameo in ‘Ghanchakkar’. For me, he will always be the first superstar I ever met,” said Vidya Balan to IANS.
Vidya Balan, who made her debut opposite Sanjay Dutt with ‘Parineeta’, recalled the old days and said that she was very nervous about working with someone as successful as Sanjay Dutt.
“We have worked together in ‘Parineeta’ and I still remember when we were doing the first scene, I was very nervous that I had to give the shot with Sanjay, who is so tall and well-built and all that,” said Vidya Balan.
“But he has got the kindest and the most gentle face. He was so helpful and I will never forget that. For me, the first superstar will always be Sanjay Dutt," she added.
‘Ghanchakkar’ is a comedy movie in which Vidya Balan plays a Punjabi housewife. Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ co-star Emraan Hashmi plays Vidya Balan’s husband and an ex-conman.
‘Ghanchakkar’ is produced by Vidya's husband Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV.
The movie will release on June 21.
