Alia Bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, made her debut last year with Karan Johar’s movie ‘Student of the Year’.
Alia Bhatt, who played a fun loving college girl in her debut movie, said that she wanted to venture into other genres and would love to be a part of horror movie ‘Raaz 4’ or thriller ‘Murder 4’.
“In these thrillers and scary movies, it is very difficult to portray (the role), to always look scared... and you know, (be) in that tense zone. So, I would love to do a film (like that). If ‘Murder 4’ or ‘Raaz 4’ happens, I would love to do it” said Alia Bhatt to IANS.
The actress is also very proud of her cousin Vishesh Bhatt, son of Mukesh Bhatt, who made his debut as a director with ‘Murder 3’.
“I saw it with the audience and I loved it. I think the ‘Murder’ franchise has gone a step ahead with this film. I feel very proud as a sister. Vishesh has taken such a beautiful story and made it so interesting and gripping," Alia said.
‘Murder 3’, starring Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sara Loren, released on February 15 to an average response.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in ‘2 States’, movie adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel of same name, opposite Arjun Kapoor.
The story is about a Punjabi boy who falls in love with a Tamil girl and the ensuing cultural clashes between them and their families.
‘Two States’ is being directed by Abhishek Verman. The movie is co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar.
