Filmmaker Anurag Basu, whose last movie ‘Barfi!’ was appreciated by one and all, is currently busy scripting legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s biopic.

Recently there have been rumors that the filmmaker was keen on casting either Kangna Ranaut or Katrina Kaif in role of yesteryear actress Madhubala, who was Kishore Kumar’s wife.

But the filmmaker said that the movie was still in its early stages and a lead actress hasn’t been decided yet.

“I am hunting for Madhubala but it is too early to talk about it. Casting happens two to three months before we start shooting. The film is in its initial stage and would probably release next year,” said Anurag Basu to IANS.

The role of Kishore Kumar will be essayed by Ranbir Kapoor in the movie.

The director said that further details regarding the movie will be released once the scripting is completed.
