Director Karan Malhotra, who made a smashing Bollywood debut last year with blockbuster hit ‘Agneepath’, denied the news that he approached Danny Denzongpa to play a prominent negative role in his upcoming movie ‘Shuddhi’.
“This is a false news. I never approached Danny for this film. I have my wish list ready for the film. We will rope in some strong veteran actor, but we have not approached anybody so far," Malhotra told IANS.
The movie ‘Shuddhi’ will star Hrithik Roshan as the male lead and will be produced by Karan Johar, thus reuniting the ‘Agneepath’ team.
Karan Malhotra also denied the reports that he approached Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma to play the female lead in the movie.
“All the reports, which have been flashing, are fake. We didn't cast Kareena Kapoor neither Anushka Sharma. In a months time, I will finalize the leading lady for my film,” he concluded.
Karan Johar has already locked Diwali next year as the release date for the movie.
The movie is all set to go on floors in November this year.
