
The shoulder surgery underwent by Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday was declared a success by his family members.
“The surgery continued for almost two to three hours. It went off very well and his family is with him," a source close to the family told IANS.
The actor underwent a surgery to his right shoulder, which he injured while shooting ‘Ra.One’.
Apparently, the pain increased while shooting Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ but the actor not only refused to use body doubles but also decided to have the surgery only and only after wrapping up the shooting for the movie.
“Shah Rukh Khan had injured himself during ‘Ra.One’, but later he got busy with ‘Chennai Express’ and said that he will get the surgery done only after wrapping up the shooting for ‘Chennai Express’,” the source said.
The actor wrapped up shooting for the movie on May 25th.
Writer Mushtaq Sheikh, a close friend of SRK, too updated fans about the surgery on Twitter.
"Good news for everyone who is asking and sending in prayers and wishes for SRK. His surgery has been successfully completed," he tweeted.
Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan, who was in London, flew down from London to be with is father.
