After Sanjay Leela Bhansali denied the rumors that Aishwarya Rai will be doing an item song in his upcoming movie ‘Ram Leela’, the media started speculating that Priyanka Chopra has been signed for the song.

Priyanka Chopra, who plays the lead in Mary Kom’s biopic produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, denied the reports.

“It is an upsetting thing. Media reports keep coming about some actor doing this film or have been replaced kind of stories... It's wrong... when you don't have clarity then do not write it... by doing all these kind of stories you give publicity to someone not needed,” said Priyanka Chopra to PTI.

The actress thinks that media should cross check before publishing such articles.

“According to media, I had all the film offers and now I am replaced again. It is not fair to do source based stories... one must cross check things..." she said.

‘Ram Leela’ a romantic drama based on William Shakespeare’s famous play ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as modern day Romeo and Juliet.

The movie will release on November 29.
