Actress Priyanka Chopra shares screen space with Kangna Ranaut yet again, they were earlier seen together in critically acclaimed movie ‘Fashion’, in upcoming sci-fi movie ‘Krrish 3’.

The actress insists that she has no problem with sharing screen space with other actresses but insists that she is the heroine of the movie and has a very important role in the movie.

“A lot of girls rejected that role. It is really stupid to do, as it is an amazing role. I am the heroine of the film, I am playing wife of Hrithik and that is how it is,” said Priyanka Chopra in an interview with PTI.

“In my first two films I came right after interval and before climax. I have learnt that the film does not run because of the length of your role but because it is a good film. I have done many two-heroine films. For me it doesn't matter, I have always thought of how good I can be in this role, what impact I am leaving in my role," Priyanka said.

Kangna’s role is the movie is being hugely spoken about because she plays India’s first superwoman. Many have assumed that Kangna Ranaut is the main female lead in the movie. But Priyanka Chopra insisted that she is the female lead and it doesn’t matter who is considered what as long as the movie works well.

“In this film I am the heroine of the film. Her character is also very interesting. In one film there can be various characters... if the film works then it works for me, Hrithik, Vivek and Kangna. If it doesn't work and I am the most important person in the film, then what is the point as eventually the film did not work," she said. 

There were reports suggesting that a cold war was going on between Priyanka Chopra and Kangna Ranaut and the actresses’ had refused to promote the movie together.

However, Priyanka Chopra has rubbished the reports and said that the media would have to eat its words when she and Kangna share same platform soon.

There has been a lot of talk about Priyanka Chopra’s role in the movie. There have been reports that the actress plays twins in the movie. But Priyanka Chopra cleared the air on her role and said that she plays a dual role.

“I am not doing a double role but a dual role. I am playing Krrish's wife Priya Mehra as in the last film we left as being lovers. I go from being a good wife to being evil in the film. It is the duality of good and evil that I play which is very interesting," she said.

"When he (Rakesh Roshan) narrated me the script he was super excited about this thing. I had not decided or thought about this," she said.

The actress said that her role is different from other girls in superhero movies as she isn’t playing a role of a damsel in distress but a very strong character.

“Usually in superhero films girls don't have anything to do, they are just damsels in distress. But in this film, I have duality in the film and even Kangna’s character is interesting," Priyanka Chopra said.

Priyanka Chopra is happy that Kangna Ranaut is in the movie and said that she has done complete justice to her role.

“I am happy Kangna has done the role, she has done an amazing job. She is looking fabulous and it is a new thing for Hindi cinema," she said.

“Her character is credible, it is an amazing role and if I had the opportunity I would have done it. I had told Rakesh sir I am ready to play that part, as everybody was saying no to doing it,” she added.

The actress said that ‘Krrish 3’ story is unique and has never been seen in Bollywood movies.

“There is Vivek's character that is bad and his army of mutants; they are called 'maanvar' which is a mix of human and animal. There is a chameleon girl played by Kangna, and then there is scorpion, cheetah girl, rhino, frog man in it. They are in the army of 'Kaal' (played by Vivek Oberoi) and they are evil. I am normal, I am not part of the mutant space," she explains.

The sci-fi movie ‘Krrish 3’ is the third movie in ‘Krrish’ franchise. The movie is a sequel to 2003 movie ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ and 2006 superhero movie ‘Krrish 2’.

‘Krrish 3’ stars Hrithik Roshan as superhero Krrish, while Priyanka Chopra plays his lover interest and then wife. Kangna Ranaut plays Superwoman Kaya. . Vivek Oberoi plays the antagonist Kaal. Shaurya Chauhan plays female antagonist Illusion.

The movie directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan will release on November 1.
