Director Punit Malhotra, who is gearing up for the release of his second movie ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’, said that it was an easy choice to cast Kareena Kapoor as the leading lady of the movie as she is the perfect choice for the role.
“Kareena Kapoor is Kareena Kapoor. No one does Punjabi (character) better than her. She is outstanding,” said 31 year old director to IANS.
The director praised the actress and said that there was no one better than her.
“You don't even have to explain the scene to her. You just tell her what you need and she delivers in one take. There is no one better than her which is why she is where she is," he said.
The song ‘Tooh’ from the movie, composed by Vishal-Shekhar, has become a hit among the crowd. Punit said that Kareena Kapoor was immensely happy when she heard the song.
“Kareena was very, very excited when she got 'Tooh'. It was the time when she was pepped up on the set. She came with 200 percent energy and that was there all along. If you see the whole song, she has completely nailed it, she is superb," Punit said.
The movie stars Imran Khan as the male lead.
‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is a romantic story about a guy (Imran Khan) and his struggles to win back his love (Kareena Kapoor).
