Actor Imran Khan recently revealed that his wife Avantika has a very small cameo in his upcoming movie ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’.
“There is one half-second flash where you can see her but that is because we know it is there,” said Imran Khan to IANS.
‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is directed by Punit Malhotra and stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.
The movie tells the story of a man who travels to a village from the city to win his love. In the film, Imran plays a South Indian guy, who falls in love with a social worker, played by Kareena Kapoor.
This isn’t the first time that Imran Khan’s wife Avantika shares screen space with her husband. Previously Avantika played blink and miss cameos in ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’, ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ and ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’.
“It has been a good luck in a couple of films, but it's a fun thing," Imran, who married Avantika in 2011, after a 10-year relationship, said.
The actor said that reason behind her cameos is her close friendship with directors of the movies rather than him.
“She is very, very close to a lot of directors that I have worked with. She is very friendly with Punit (Malhotra), Abbas Tyrewala of ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na’, and that's why she is popped out here and there in the films,” he concluded.
The movie ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ will release on November 22.
