Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ is going very strong at the box-office. After smashing the record of becoming the first movie to make the fastest Rs 100 crore in just three days of its release, the movie has now created yet another record by minting Rs 252.70 crore at the domestic box office within two weeks, including earnings from the Tamil and Telugu versions.
Aamir Khan, who has portrayed a negative character for the first time in the movie, said that he chose to feature in such a role as he wants to exploit his talent as an actor to the hilt.
"I don't want to limit myself as an actor. It should not be like, 'He will only do logical stuff, or only films with a social message'. I don't want to limit myself. I want to do all different kind of films,” said Aamir Khan to IANS.
The actor said that through ‘Dhoom 3’ he wanted to give audience an experience they never had before.
“We wanted you all to experience a different thing on screen which has not been shown before,” he said.
The surprise element in ‘Dhoom 3’ turned out to be the fact that Aamir Khan essays a double role in the movie. The actor has said that he has received praises for his portrayal of two brothers, Sahir and Samar, in the movie.
“I personally liked Samar more. Actually, the film is about two brothers' love story. We didn't reveal that aspect before the film's release. Maximum people have liked Samar more, but few of them who called me, like Govindaji and Anil Kapoor, they liked Sahir. I have received a lot of compliments for this film and I am very happy right now,” concluded Aamir Khan.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films, the movie also stars Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.
