Maestro Ilayaraja’s son and popular music director Yuvan Shankar Raja tied the knot with Shilpa at 10:20 am on September 1. The wedding took place at Tirupathi amidst family and close friends. This is Yuvan’s second marriage after a breakup with his first wife Sujaya Chandran in 2008. Sujaya was a longtime girl friend of Yuvan.

Yuvan started concentrating on his career after his breakup and earned big hits to his credit. He is currently working for Pawan Kalyan’s tentatively titled film Shadow in Telugu.

The Chennai based girl Shilpa is a doctor by profession and is a close friend of Yuvan. It is reported that Yuvan is super excited with marriage as well as with the super success of his latest film Mankatha starring Ajith.
