Shah Rukh Khan laying rumors to rest has finally confirmed that he would be performing despite his knee injury at IIFA Awards.
He tweeted saying, “back in mumbai. wanted to thank anubhav, tarun, manikandan & the crew for making the hectic schedule possible. nursing knee injury to get ready for iifa. wish toronto was closer to bandra. shiamk team making the dance steps easier for me”.
While Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed his presence at the event, Salman Khan has backed out. Salman Khan who was geared up to promote his production venture 'Chillar Party' has now decided to give the event a miss.
Chillar Party is to be screened at IIFA for an August gathering. Even though Salman Khan was excited about the same, his busy schedule isn’t allowing him to make an appearance. Traveling to Canada and then back again will disrupt his shooting of the movie Bodyguard which he is busy with. The films’ shooting has nearly come to an end and its being pushed hard to meet the deadline as movie is to be released on Eid.
Still talking about the movie Salman said, “Chillar Party is very close to my heart, the concept appealed to me and the children's performances were endearing. This is the first film under SKBH (Salman Khan Being Human) Productions and we felt there was no better place to screen the movie than at the IIFA film festival. For me, IIFA is home-grounds and it can't get bigger than IIFA inToronto.”
The event is to commence on this weekend in Toronto.
