Lisa Ray, the gorgeous actress who battled cancer recently in back on Television. The actress is all set to host the show ‘Oh My Gold’ on TLC.

The actress who was diagnosed by Multiple myeloma in 2009 says that cancer has changed her, “Now I value people and relationships even more. I am grateful to have fought the ailment and still be alive. I have made some healthy lifestyle changes. I do yoga. I eat well and get enough sleep”.

Lisa Ray will travel around India show casing exotic jewelry and traditions associated with it in her new show. The actress has already traveled to 5 cities Kochi, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai and Jaipur exploring the culture and tradition of jewelry in those cities.

“It was almost like a road trip for the both of us (herself and Bindya). I got to experience jewellery shopping differently by asking questions that I wouldn’t have normally. Like how is Hyderabad the city of pearls since there is no ocean next to it,” says the actress excitedly.

Explaining more about the show she says, “The show will showcase the art of jewellery making whilst delving into India’s extravagant jewellery traditions that are still prevalent today and make up the country’s rich cultural fabric. That was the idea behind OMG. It gives people a chance to see the working behind the showroom.”

She enjoyed running crazily around the streets of Delhi and Hyderabad, eating laddoos in golden wrapped sheets, diving in backwaters of Kochi.

“That was not it, I met interesting people too. I met this woman in Kerala who makes jewellery from spices. The best part about the show is that it gave me a chance to present my real self on screen and interact with so many different people,” added the actress.

This will be her debut on small screen.
