It’s been 7 long years since the couple Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza were together on the big screen. They were last seen together in the movie ‘Masti’.

But now the couple have been cast together in a yet to be named romantic comedy. Both the stars are quite excited to be working together again.

“Working with my first n my most favourite co-star @geneliad after 7 long years. Today is the first day of the shoot. Excitttteeeeddd yeaahh (sic),” said Riteish on twitter.

The actress immediately replied to Ritesh’s tweet saying, “Dats such a sweet tweet rd (Riteish), I think its goin 2b so much fun again, fingers crossed (sic)”.

Genelia D’Souza had tweeted earlier saying, “My new film starts 2day, workin with @Riteishd after 7yrs.lllongggg time but excited 4sure. Need your prayers n wishes tweeps, bring it on (sic)”.

The movie is being directed by debutant director Mandeep Kumar and produced by Kumar Taruni under Tips banner.

“My first film with TIPS – Kumarji (Taurani)- have been wanting to work with them for a long time,” said Riteish.

The couple had made their debut together in the movie ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ in 2003. The rumors of their relationship started right then. Both the stars both have maintained that they like each other and enjoy working together but nothing more than ‘just good friends’.
