The collaboration of ‘Golmaal’ director Rohit Shetty with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time made headlines. As if that wasn’t enough, it was rumored that none other than Katrina Kaif will be starring opposite him in the movie.

But as it turns out, it won’t be Katrina Kaif but Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’ co-star Kareena Kapoor who will star in the movie.

“Rohit and I are finalizing the script and other details. Once it’s locked, we can take matters forward,” confirmed Kareena Kapoor.

“Rohit is like family, and I am seriously looking forward to working with him again,” she added.

It was reported that while shooting for Yash Chopra’s movie, Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif have grown close and Shah Rukh Khan had recommended Katrina Kaif for the role in the movie. But as Rohit Shetty is very close to Kareena Kapoor and as he also thought that Kareena suited the role better, he decided to go with Kareena Kapoor instead.

“Kareena and Shah Rukh have worked together in ‘Asoka’ (2001) and ‘RA.One’ among others. She has always openly declared her fondness for him,” said a source.
