The actor Hrithik Roshan, who has managed to kick off his smoking habit thanks to a book, has been going around tinsel town propagating the ill effects of smoking. The book on how to quit smoking has helped and impressed Hrithik Roshan so much that he has decided to pass on the book to his other smoking buddies in Bollywood including the likes of Sanjay Dutt and Bobby Deol.

While Hrithik Roshan has managed to kick off the habit, his close friend Shah Rukh Khan has failed in doing the same.

When asked if Hrithik Roshan had approached him with the book, Shah Rukh Khan said to a leading daily, “I know this is a bad thing but the habit doesn't leave me. I am trying hard. Even if someone tells me or not, I know about the ill-effects of smoking. I will try and give it up on my own. I know it is not a good thing.”

“People ask me every day when will I quit smoking... now I feel guilty. I am trying to smoke less,” he added.

On several occasions before Shah Rukh Khan has vowed to give up on his habit but failed every single time. Previously, he had taken a vow on World No Tobacco Day to give up smoking but failed to do so. Later he said the same during the promotions of ‘Ra.One’ but once again he has succumbed to the temptation.

Now he plans to quit smoking after ‘Don 2’.

“After Don 2 releases I will get some time to start working out, getting into a healthier regime. I would like to say that smoking is a bad thing and one must not do it,” he said.
