Actress Mamta Mohandas tied a knot with her childhood beau and family friend Prajith Padmanabhan in a grand gala ceremony at a private hotel in Kerala’s Kozhikode. The couple received blessings from several film personalities down south on this occasion. Prajith is successfully running business in both Bahrain and Kerala. Mamta is going to big adieu to films after her marriage and likely to shift her base to Bahrain, as per initial reports.

Mamta proved her mettle in acting and singing in over 30 films in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. She acted with heroes like Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Jr NTR, Mamootty, Pridviraj, Mohanlal,etc. Her last film in Tollywood was ‘Kedi’ with Nagarjuna. She made her acting debut with a Malayalam film ‘Mayookham’ under the direction of veteran Hariharan in 2005.
