Come January 26th Hrithik Roshan will sizzle on silver screen as the iconic Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. In the new age ‘Agneepath’ movie, Hrithik Roshan will essay the role of Vijay, previously played by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Amitabh Bachchan not only made the role of ‘angry young man’ iconic but also received a National Award for his performance.

So, it’s obvious that parallels between the two Vijay’s will be drawn. But Hrithik Roshan insists that new age Vijay is nothing like the original.

“Well, it's very different from the original character. My Vijay Dinanath Chauhan is a simple, common man. He's just Vijay. If you start comparing me with Mr Bachchan, I will fail at the word 'go',” he said in a recent interview.

As Hrithik Roshan is against doing remakes he at first had refused to be a part of ‘Agneepath’, which is the remake of cult classic by same name.

“Yes. I didn't want to do a remake. I wanted to do films that have not been done before. But KJo was insistent. I was almost forced into the film, made to hear the script and once I read it, I was blown away,” he said.

Sanjay Dutt, who plays the role of Kancha Cheena, looks way more sinister and powerful than the original villain. According to Hrithik Roshan Sanjay Dutt’s Kancha Cheena is very intimidating.

“He's done a fantastic job in the film. In some scenes, he looked so menacing and his acting was so natural that it threw me off my game. His Kancha Cheena was intimidating, so I decided to up my game,” he said.

Hrithik Roshan is also busy shooting for his superhero flick ‘Krrish 3’. The movie has been in news lately due to its casting coop. Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan had a difficulty in finding female superhero villain for the movie. Finally the role went to Kangna Ranaut, who was in fact offered the role at first.

“Well yeah, it was originally offered to her. She didn't find it lucrative, so we approached a host of actresses. Somehow, we went back to Kangana after finishing the script and she loved the role. It was written with her in mind,” he said.

Hrithik Roshan whose health seems to have improved promised that ‘Krrish 3’ won’t be postponed anymore and will release soon.

“My health is stabilizing, so we'll be able to start with my schedule. The Krrish sequel has been postponed for over two years. I was advised not to get into the stunts but I can't delay it anymore,” he concluded.
