Samantha has been roped in as female lead in director Mani Ratnam’s new film ‘Kadali’. This film also marks the debut of hero Karthik’s son Gautam.

‘Kadali’ is a bi-lingual and will be made in Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously.  The film has been in the news ever since Mani Ratnam called Samantha for a trail photo shoot. Recently, the ace director has scouted for locations in southern Chennai.

‘Kadali’ is set on the village backdrop. Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and Action King Arjun are playing special vital roles in this romantic drama. After a long hiatus, yesteryear hero Arvind Swamy is making his comeback with this film. Music of the film is by AR Rahman.
