It’s been 4 years since Imran Khan and Genelia starrer ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ released. But the movie till date remains a favorite among many fans.
So, recently when it was rumored that the director of ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, Abbas Tyrewala was planning on making a sequel, it got the fans talking.
But the director dismissed the rumors and confirmed through Twitter that there won’t be a sequel for the movie.
“Umm...all those vaguely excited by the idea of a sequel to 'Jaane Tu...', as suggested in the press today - hey, please let me know if one is happening. I'd love to watch it as well. But I sure ain't making one,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“I guess it’s just a mild attack of cafeteria journalism... whilst practicing ventriloquism (I've been quoted giving random answers to questions I was never asked. Actually, I've an idea! Maybe Jai and Aditi (film's characters) could turn psychopathic, a la Natural Born Killers, and start shooting reporters too lazy to actually do things like 'reporting,” he added.
Produced by Aamir Khan, the movie ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ released in year 2008. The movie not only marked the debut of actor Imran Khan but also director Abbas Tyrewala.
After ‘Jaane Tu Na Jaane Na’, Tyrewala directed ‘Jhoota Hi Sahi’, starring John Abraham and his wife. The movie tanked at the box-office.
