While Salim Khan, who co-wrote the movie ‘Zanjeer’ along with Javed Akhtar, is against the remake of the movie, Salim Khan’s son Salman Khan in a recent press conference said that ‘Zanjeer’ should be remade.

“Of course there should be a remake of Zanjeer. Zanjeer was a superb and really good film,” said actor Salman Khan.

Salman dint let the opportunity to talk about another Amitabh Bachchan’s remake ‘Don’ starring Shah Rukh Khan go by.

“Don was remade twice. First was remake and the second was a sequel of a remake,” he said.

The movie Zanjeer is being produced by Amit Mehra, who is son of late Prakash Mehra, who produced and directed the original.

‘Zanjeer’ is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Telugu superstar Ram Charan Teja, who will be making a debut in Bollywood with this movie.

Recently it was rumored that Priyanka Chopra would play the female lead and Amitabh Bachchan would be doing a cameo. But neither of these reports has been confirmed yet.
