Ruslaan Mumtaz was thrilled when Vikram Bhatt offered him a role in ‘Dangerous Ishq’ as he would be getting a change to share screen space with one of his idols Karisma Kapoor.

“I think Karisma looks hotter now than she did earlier. At the cost of sounding rude, I still say that I couldn’t take my eyes off her,” he said to DNA.

“Considering ‘Dangerous Ishq’ is a comeback film for her, it’s amazing to see the amount of hard work she’s put behind every scene. There’s so much to learn from her,” he added.

The actor said that he is impressed by the way Karisma Kapoor manages both her professional and personal life.

“What’s even better is how she successfully manages her kids and work; they would come to the sets at times and she would be the doting mom before shifting focus to the next scene. And when they weren’t around, she was always kept in the loop about them,” he said.

When asked him what made him say yes to the movie he said, “When Vikram approached me with the role, I was excited mainly for two reasons — first, working with Karisma and second, shooting on 3D. I had seen his ‘Haunted’ on 3D and thought it looked even better because of the format.”

The actor said that working with Vikram Bhatt and his co-stars has been a great experience.

“Vikram makes sure his actors are perfectly at ease and goes the extra mile to connect even beyond work. And having a set full of actors is always fun for a fresher like me. Not only do you get to learn so much from watching them, you also are more relaxed when it comes to work,” he said.

The actor admitted that he was choosy and hence he dint have many films under his belt.

“Yes, at hindsight I think I said no to too many films. If I hadn’t done so, I would have quite a few releases by now. But it’s never too late,” he concluded.

Directed by Vikram Bhatt the movie also stars Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta, Sameer Kochar and Gracy Singh. The movie is all set to be released on May 11, 2012.
