Actress Kangna Ranaut’s absence from the promotional events of the movie ‘Tezz’ has started the speculations that the makers of the movie aren’t happy with Kangna Ranaut.

But the makers of the movie and Kangna Ranaut’s close friend deny any bad blood between her and the filmmakers, unlike during her last release ‘Rascals’.

“It is really surprising that she has been dragged into a controversy like this when there is neither any smoke nor any fire,” said Kangna Ranaut’s close friend to Bollywood Hungama.

The friend also denied that Kangna Ranaut’s part in the movie wasn’t all that important.

“She is all there for the movie and by no means does she have a small role in the film. She is as integral to the film as she was in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’. Even that movie was primarily about battle between Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi, it didn't mean that Kangna didn't have a part to play,” said the friend.

"Similarly, even though 'Tezz' features Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor prominently, Kangna is important to the plot and isn't merely an eye candy. Such rumors about her role being diminished are being spread by mischief mongers which is very disappointing,” added the friend.

The producer of the movie, Ratan Jain, said that Kangna Ranaut was very much the part of promotions and that she was doing her part.

“You get bothered when either you or your actor is unsure of each other intentions. Everyone is clear about what he or she was supposed to play in the film and how the final film has shaped up. Kangna is very integral to the movie and her love story with Ajay drives the basic plot of the film. She is there in the movie from start to finish. Neither is she being ignored not is she feeling ignored. There is no controversy,” he said.

The movie ‘Tezz’ directed by Priyadarshan and starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Zayed Khan and Sameera Reddy in lead roles will release on April 27, 2012.
