After 'Zanjeer' 'Muqaddar Ka Sikander' to be remade

Amit Mehra, son of Prakash Mehra, who is currently remaking his father’s cult classic ‘Zanjeer’ starring Amitabh Bachchan, is planning on remaking ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikander’, yet another classic movie of his father that also starred Amitabh Bachchan.

The newly turned producer is planning on starting the film once Ram Charan Teja starrer ‘Zanjeer’ remake is done with.

If the rumors are to be believed then Amit Mehra is not only planning on producing the remake of ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikander’ but also directing it. Apparently, he is also keen on having Abhishek Bachchan reprise the role of Sikander played by his father, Amitabh Bachchan, in the original.

The worldwide rights of the movie belong to three sons of Prakash Mehra - Sumit, Punit and Amit, who have jointly decided to remake the classic.

The original movie not only starred Amitabh Bachchan but also Rakhee, Vinod Khanna, Rekha and Amjad Khan.

Apparently, the producer wont stop after ‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikander’ as he plans on remaking ‘Laawaaris’, ‘Sharaabi’, ‘Namak Halaal’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Haath Ki Safaai’.
