‘Dabangg 2’ is already one of the most hugely anticipated movies of this year. With reports that Kareena Kapoor will be doing an item number in the movie, the curiosity surrounding the movie has only increased.

Arbaaz Khan, who is making his debut as director with the movie, said that there will definitely be a gyrating item number in the movie but it was too premature to talk about.

“We do have a song in 'Dabangg 2' but it is too premature to talk about it. We would like to call it a popular song rather than an item song. Once we have recorded the song then we can take a decision accordingly about it,” he said to a daily.

When asked about the rumors that Kareena Kapoor would feature in item number in the movie he said that he was interested to have Kareena onboard and Kareena herself was keen about the same.

“I am in conversation with Kareena about the song. She too is keen on doing it. We would be happy if she would do the song,” he said.

“Principally we have agreed but nothing is on paper. We need to work out things like availability and all,” he added.

‘Dabangg 2’ is sequel to 2010 blockbuster hit ‘Dabangg’. The movie stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. They will reprise their roles from the previous movie.

In ‘Dabangg’ Malaika Arora Khan had featured in the song ‘Munni Badnaam’, which till date remains one of the top most songs in Bollywood.

Arbaaz Khan said that the movie had completed one schedule and second would start from tomorrow.

“We have completed one schedule and will begin another tomorrow. We expect to release it by the end of the year,” he concluded.
