Aamir Khan is currently on countrywide tour to promote his debut TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ that will begin this Sunday, May 6.

 During one of his press conferences Aamir Khan confessed that he was a very emotional person.

“Not many people know that I cry easily…. As an individual, I don't hide my emotions. I end up crying when I see a film, at times even an ad film,” he said to the press assembled there.

The actor said that after going around the country and meeting different people he could empathize with country’s real heroes.

“Maybe there's an initial inhibition, but soon the ice breaks and they and I easily connect with each other. By nature, I'm curious and so it is easy for me to make people open up,” he said adding that the whole experience was like a rollercoaster ride.

Aamir said that with age he was learning to take life less seriously and more lightly.

“Humor is an important part of life,” he said.

When asked about him joining politics he said that he wasn’t interested in politics and was content being an entertainer.

“I am an entertainer and that is what I enjoy doing…. While I am not an activist, there are people who have dedicated their life to it. As an Indian, as a sensitive human, I use my voice to support their cause,” he said.

But the actor supports the nomination of Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar to the Rajya Sabha.

“He is sensible and intelligent and these are the qualities I would like to see in a Rajya Sabha member. The fact that he accepted the nomination shows that he feels he can contribute to the society,” he concluded.
