The hit Jodi of Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, who have delivered box-office hits with ‘Golmaal’ series and ‘Singham’, are back with ‘Bol Bachchan’.
‘Bol Bachchan’ not only stars Ajay Devgn but also Abhishek Bachchan, Prachi Desai and Asin. The first look and trailer of the movie were recently released and they have garnered good response from the audience.
Directed by Rohit Shetty the movie is inspired from the cult classic ‘Gol Maal’ by Hrishikesh Mukherjee that starred Amol Palekar. Abhishek Bachchan will be playing a role similar to Amol Palekar and will be seen in two different avatars. His first avatar is of a macho man with a moustache, while his second is of a gay guy. This second the second time that Abhishek Bachchan will be playing a gay character on screen.
The movie seems to follow Rohit Shetty’s hit mix of comedy and action. It appears that major part of the movie’s comedy will come from Ajay Devgn’s bad English.
The supporting cast includes ace comedian Asrani, Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, whom Rohit Shetty saw on TV comedy show ‘Comedy Circus’ and cast him in the movie as he was impressed by Krushna's comic timing, and Neeraj Vora.
Amitabh Bachchan makes a special appearance for a song in the movie, which is titled ‘My Name is Anthony Gonsalves’.
The movie is produced by Dhillin Mehta and Ajay Devgn. The music is scored by Ajay-Atul and Himesh Reshammiya jointly. Yunus Sajawal and Sajid – Farhad have written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the movie.
The movie is all set to release on July 6th.
Abhishek Bachchan, who hasn’t a delivered a hit at box-office in a long time, is excited and hopeful about this project.
“Back on the sets of Bol Bachchan. Few more days and it's a wrap on the film. Releases 6th July. Excitement is becoming!” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted.
