Shah Rukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders have registered their first ever maiden win in IPL by defeating reining champions Chennai Super Kings in the finals this Sunday.

Shah Rukh Khan, whose team KKR dint manage to finish at top in last four seasons, said that he being an owner of KKR has made him realize that he too can fail.

“I have been working for almost 20 years and have achieved success. It was high time I faced failure. In the last five years I have changed and realized that I can also fail. Success is not a good teacher, failure makes you humble. Success and failure are both part of life. Both are not permanent,” he said to PTI.

Shah Rukh Khan said that the reason for their victory was hard work that the team put in and also teamwork. The actor said that instead of celebrating, him and co-owners of KKR Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta watched the finals repeatedly.

“Everytime my daughter Suhana came to watch the match we won and this time I was hoping we win. I have always told my children hard work pays off. The team and everyone has been working hard for three-four years and it has paid off. I was watching the match again and again with Juhi and Jay and everyone thought we were partying,” he said.

When asked about Poonam Pandey posting her nude picture after KKR won, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Everyone has their own way of expressing happiness. I don't think I should comment on this. I am thankful to everyone who celebrated.”

He also congratulated Chess genius Viswanathan Anand on winning the World Chess title for the fifth time.

”Playing chess is not easy. This is the fifth time he has won and it is a moment of celebration. I would ask everyone to celebrate,” he concluded.
