Actress Nargis Fakhri was all set to sign her second Bollywood film ‘Khiladi 786’ opposite Akshay Kumar. But due to some unknown reason the actress has lost the movie to Asin, who recently even signed on the dotted line.

When asked about the sudden change in the female lead, Asin said she had no idea about it.

“You have to ask the production house about that because I think it's best that it comes from them. I am not one of those actresses who go on saying that I have been approached for this or signed this much before the official announcement has been made,” she said to a daily.

Asin’s first movie with Akshay Kumar ‘Housefull 2’ turned out to be her third 100 Crore movie. The actress said that she was excited to work with Akshay Kumar again.

“Akshay and I share a great working relationship. He's really chilled out and we also gel well because he's also an early rise, disciplined and professional. So it's a perfect fit!” she said.

Now that the actress has set box-office rolling she is looking for more substantial roles.

“I am looking at more fleshed out characters within the commercial format and characters with scope for performance,” she said.

Asin is one of those rare South Indians actresses to succeed in Bollywood and keep up with the stiff competition.

So how does she motivate herself?

“By not thinking about it! As long as I am getting good work and the audience appreciates me, which so far has happened for me, I really don't think there is any competition! I didn't join the film industry to prove that I am better than this girl or more successful than that girl. It's all about focusing on yourself and looking at bettering your best,” she concluded.
