Producers of the movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’, starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, directed by choreographer turned director Prabhu Deva, are pretty happy with the way the movie has managed to rake in big moolah at the box-office.
But the movie has turned out to be too costly for the producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who he to shell out the hefty amount of Rs. 50 Lakhs for the copyright incrimination.
Hyderabad music label Aditya Music has slapped the producer with a copyright case for copying the movie’s popular song ‘Chin Ta Ta’.
The producer Bhansali has bought the rights of the Telugu movie ‘Vikramarkudu’ but the producer was unaware that the song didn’t belong to the producers of the movie but to the music company.
Aditya Music and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have agreed for an out of court settlement and the producer will be paying whooping Rs. 50 Lakhs to the company.
But given that the movie ‘Rowdy Rathore’ has collected over half billion already, the producer in no time will be able to earn back the lost money.
