Director Anurag Kashyap’s next release ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ has managed to create curiosity in the audience. At the same the movie has also managed to irk people of Wasseypur, who apparently have sent the writer Zeishan Quadri, threat messages warning him not to ever set foot in Wasseypur again.

But director Anurag Kashyap feels that once the movie is released the misunderstandings will be cleared.

“We will go to Wasseypur after the film’s release, after it is screened at the Ray Theatre there. People there don’t yet know what’s in the film, but after the screening all their doubts will be cleared and then we will go to Wasseypur,” said the director.

Even though director Anurag Kashyap’s movies have been a critical success, none except for ‘Dev-D’, managed to create a stir at the box-office. The director hopes that the fortunes change with this movie.

“I have very high expectations...It has got a lot of commercial elements. I am expecting the film to be my first big commercial hit,” he concluded.

The movie stars Manoj Bajpai in lead role. It also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Reema Sen.

‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, a crime thriller, is all set to release on June 22.
