The debate over size zero and curves refuses to die down. While actresses like Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha are promoting healthy lifestyle and curves, Kareena Kapoor said that size zero was beautiful and fat wasn’t sexy.
But actress Preity Zinta finds nothing wrong with curves.
“I think she (Vidya Balan) is a fabulous actress. What's wrong with her? There is always a rule - it takes one to lead and rest to follow. The choice you have to make is whether you are a leader or a follower,” she said.
“If there is one size zero and if 10 people want to become size zero, it's a different thing. If one is a size 12 or 10, and people want to be size 10, it's a different thing,” she added.
Vidya Balan has not only delivered hits after hits with ‘Ishqiya’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani’ but has also shown that curves can be beautiful in ‘The Dirty Picture’.
“I think Vidya Balan is beautiful, she is gorgeous and she is a fabulous actor,” said Preity Zinta.
The actress believes that there is no need for size zero figure for normal girls and the pressure to lose weight is too much for them.
“For normal people, it is very unfair to keep saying size zero is beautiful. Being overweight is not good because it is bad for your health. (But) there is no such thing that this is the only size,” she said.
“I feel really bad for the normal people because their pressure is - 'If you eat this diet, you will look like her', which is really wrong, you can't look like anyone else,” she concluded.
The actress, who has been away from silver screen for a long time, is all set to return to big screen with ‘Ishkq in Paris’. The movie will clash with Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Heroine’ at the box-office as the movies are set to release on same day, September 21.
