On this day two decades ago Shah Rukh Khan made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Deewana’, which released on June 25, 1992. Little did he or anybody know that he would become one of the ‘superstars’ of Indian Cinema.

While the fans of the actor might attribute his success to his talent, the actor himself thinks that he has been very lucky.

“Twenty uninterrupted years of serving. Not enough talent or looks or game plan. Thank you all. I guess I got lucky, lucky to be working all the time,” the actor Tweeted on his on Twitter account.

The actor started his acting career on small screen with the show ‘Fauji’, which went on to become a hit and made Shah Rukh Khan one of the most beloved TV Star. Later he also featured in TV Shows ‘Circus’ and ‘Doosra Keval’.

Shah Rukh Khan’s got noticed in his first movie ‘Deewana’ though the movie had Rishi Kapoor playing the leading role. Later the actor went on to feature in hit movies like ‘Chamatkar’, ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’, ‘Darr’, ‘Baazigar’, ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ ‘Anjaam’ and ‘Karan Arjun’.

But the biggest hit of his career came with Yash Raj Chopra’s ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, featuring Kajol as female lead. The movie made Shah Rukh Khan a superstar over night. The movie till date remains one of the best Bollywood movies.

After that movie there was no turning back for the actor who went on to deliver hits after hits with ‘Yess Boss’, ‘Pardes’, ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, ‘Dil Se’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Veer Zaara’, ‘Swades’, ‘Chak De! India’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and more recent ‘My Name Is Khan’.

Even though the actor played different roles in his career, he got tagged as the of most romantic hero in Bollywood. The actor has earned titles like King Khan and Bollywood Badshah.

The actor will be next seen in yet another romantic film directed by Yash Chopra’s, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
