Even though actress Asin’s last movie ‘Housefull 2’ was a huge hit at the box-office and earned over 100 Crores, it was still panned by the critics. Actress Asin consents that the movie wasn’t made to please the critics but for the audience.

“My last film, ‘Housefull 2’ was made only for audience entertainment and satisfaction. It was not made to impress the critics. Moreover, the film did really well at the box office,” said Asin to a daily.

The actress will be once again teaming up with her ‘Housefull 2’ co-star Akshay Kumar in ‘Khiladi 786’.

“We have finished shooting for the first schedule of the film and Akshay is a fabulous co-star. He is funny and it was great to team up with him after ‘Housefull 2’,” she said.

Asin was able to create a niche for herself in Bollywood thanks many hits she delivered down South. But recently there have been reports that the actress has been ignoring movies from South.

“There is nothing that's stopping me from doing films in south. But the scripts that I have been receiving of late are boring and I am looking for a character that's completely different from what I have done so far. I have had my share of good roles in the south and I do not want to repeat them,” she said.

Recently the actress was offered a role in remake of Tamil movie ‘Vettai’ but apparently the actress turned down the movie as she wasn’t interested to star opposite Shahid Kapoor.

“I don't want to comment about it at all,” she concluded.

Asin will next be seen in 'Bol Bachchan', directed by Rohit Shetty. The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Prachi Desai in lead roles.
