The movie ‘Cocktail’, starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, which released this Friday, has been getting mixed reviews from the critics. But one thing that’s common is that many critics have said that this was Deepika Padukone’s best work till date.
Even her co-star Saif Ali Khan thinks the same.
“Cocktail' is Deepika's best work till date. You will realize it when you see the film. She has done a great job. I have worked with her in 'Love Aaj Kal' and I am happy to see how far she has come,” said Saif Ali Khan to PTI.
While some are comparing the movie to Saif Ali Khan’s previous works like ‘Hum Tum’, ‘Salaam Namaste’ and ‘Love Aaj Kal’. But Saif Ali Khan said that the movie is very different from all his other movies.
“'Cocktail' is not a romantic comedy. It is a love story. It is very different from 'Hum Tum', 'Salaam Namaste' or even 'Love Aaj Kal' for that matter. The film does have comic elements but the basic premise of the film is a love story,” he said.
Saif admitted that he enjoys playing lover boy and would want to continue to do so when he is 60.
“I know I have been playing the lover boy for quite some time in films but I enjoy it and I plan to continue to do so till I am 60. I want to play a lover man, lover old man,” he concluded.
