Yesteryear Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, just after being discharged from the same hospital week ago.
Lilavati COO Narendra Trivedi confirmed the actor was admitted on Saturday.
“He is in the hospital,” he said but refused to add anything further.
But a close friend of family assured that it wasn’t very serious.
“He was feeling low and weak so the doctor asked him to get admitted for a day. He has been put on saline drip. He may be discharged on Sunday evening or Monday morning,” he said to TOI.
On June 20, Rajesh Khanna’s manager, Ashwin, had revealed that the actor had stopped the intake of food. But the actor, who is fondly called Kaka by his fans, came to the balcony of his home 'Aashirwad' the very next day and waved to his fans, who had gathered there after the news of his ill health.
But on June 23rd, the actor was admitted in hospital due to exhaustion and weakness. He was discharged on July 8.
His estranged wife, Dimple Kapadia, and youngest daughter Rinke Khanna are currently taking care of him.
